ABOUT
Ensemble d'Atlántico
Ensemble d'Atlántico was born out of years of fine and productive collaboration between the Bolivian soprano Anna Pardo and the British pianist and composer Andrew Wise... musicians from different continents looking for similarities but also differences
between cultures and harmonies over time.
Since Autumn 2024, the belgian flautist Nathalie Van Meirvenne
has been a member of this Ensemble.
What is an ocean? Something that splits or connects?
Music is our ocean and we would like to take you with d'Atlántico
on a journey to (un)expected places.
This ensemble feels and complements each other perfectly, inspired by Andrew's enchanting keyboard playing, beautifully complemented by the colourful sounds of Nathalie's traverse flute, Anna's voice penetrates into the depths of your heart
and touches the unmoved.
SOON MORE ABOUT THEIR FIRST CD -> "Cruzando Océanos" !
With Spanish music by Xavier Montsalvatge, Fernando Obradors, Manuel De Falla, Enrique Granados, Ernesto Halffter and Joaquín Rodrigo, and Latin American music by Eduardo Caba, Ariel Ramirez and Heitor Villa-Lobos.
“Cantares Populares” is a southern programme of powerful fiery passion interspersed with the modesty
and purity of musical simplicity.
Be charmed and moved by this engaging ensemble!
